Emergency Action Plan

Emergency situations may arise at any time during an athletic event. Early action is essential to provide the best medical care to the athletes of emergency and/or life-threatening conditions.

The development and implementation of an emergency action plan will help ensure proper and effective health care. Trained medical health providers should administer
emergency management when the situation calls for it.  Preparation for the response to emergencies includes education and training, emergency equipment, appropriate use
of personnel, and the implementation of the emergency action plan.
